My Summer

Over the summer, I stayed very busy. My favorite part was when my family and I went to Arizona. We left the day after school let out, so we could beat the extreme summer heat. While there, we stayed with some family friends that moved there a few years ago. It was really nice to reconnect and see them again. After staying at their house, we all went camping near the Grand Canyon. The view was breath taking! So was hiking in 90 degree weather! However, I don’t recall spending one dull moment in Arizona.

When we got back from Arizona, we occupied ourselves with multiple things. First, my family and I went camping any weekend we could. I had a great time camping with my cousins because we were able to build a pretty sweet fort right on the edge of a stream. When not camping I went swimming quite a bit. Because my sister was working, it was usually my little brother and I making up fun pool games. I also was able to hang out with a lot of friends. It was really nice staying in touch with them even though we would be going to different schools. Unfortunately, the summer ended suddenly. However, I have a feeling this year at Sky View will be great!

  1. That sounds really fun! I’ve never been to Arizona, but I would like to see the Grand Canyon. My family also enjoys camping, but we weren’t able to go over the summer. However, the heat sounds miserable. Unless I’m in some type of water, I do not like being outside in ninety-degree weather! It sounds like you had an exciting summer! I’m glad to be at Sky View with you!

  2. Hi Faith! It definitely sounds like you had a great summer! I have only been to Arizona once, and it was when I was really little, so I don’t remember much of it, but the way you describe it sounds great! I was interested to hear that you enjoy camping, as I do as well and I was lucky to get the opportunity to do a lot of it this summer. Your fort you made with your cousins sounds really cool, and my brother and I do the same thing every time we go camping. I hope you have a great freshman year!

  3. Ok. Anyways, that sounds so fun getting to go to Arizona. I’ve never been but I bet it’s real hot there for sure. ESPECIALLY during the Summer! It’s really cool being able to reconnect with family members after a few years. Also, I love camping! It’s so fun. It’s too bad I didn’t get to do too much of that, but I still did some. I hope your school year is as awesome as your Summer was! (Except for the hiking in like 90 Degree weather).
